SOLAR LIGHTS AREN'T AS BRIGHT AS HOME LIGHTS

Solar powered house generator in Uzbekistan
Looking at small-scale projects, in order to increase solar PV generation while promoting self-consumption by individuals and businesses, the government approved a targeted programme for the installation of 150 000 rooftop solar PV with a capacity of 2‑3 kW and the installation of solar water heaters with a capacity of about 200 litres to cover 2-2.5% of households by 2025. Solar 24h power supply system
<p indent="0mm">Thermoelectric materials hold promises for direct conversion of heat into electricity, making them viable power sources for electronic devices. However, their practical applications in diverse outdoor environment are hindered by limited and discontinuous electricity output. In this study, we propose an all-day solar power generator to achieve highly efficient and continuous electricity generation by harnessing the synergistic effects of photoelectric-thermoelectric conversion and latent thermal energy storage. The all-day solar power generator exhibits an average open-circuit voltage of 6.8 mV during daylight and a remaining 0.9 mV during nighttime. Importantly, the all-day solar power generator achieves dependable outdoor power supply for communication transmission in diverse environmental scenarios. Our research opens a new way for highly efficient and sustainable power generation.</p> [pdf]

Solar panel revenue
The global solar PV panels market size was estimated at USD 184.29 billion in 2024 and is predicted to increase from USD 198.51 billion in 2025 to approximately USD 384.44 billion by 2034, expanding at a CAGR of 7.62% from 2025 to 2034.With improvements in photovoltaic technology, solar panels can now generate more electricity with the same quantity of sunshine because of their higher efficiency.
